Legal Protection under E-Commerce Directive – European Union

About This Platform:
CGPeers.in is a student-focused educational social network. All content on this platform is shared voluntarily by users. We do not upload, host, or promote any copyrighted content ourselves. The platform exists only to facilitate educational discussion and resource exchange among students worldwide.


Compliance with EU Directive 2000/31/EC:
Under the E-Commerce Directive (Directive 2000/31/EC) of the European Parliament and Council, CGPeers.in qualifies as an information society service provider. As per Article 14, we are not liable for user-submitted content provided that:

  • We have no actual knowledge of illegal content
  • We act promptly to remove or disable access once notified

This legal safeguard ensures that CGPeers.in, its staff, and its hosting providers are protected from liability regarding content published by users without our knowledge.


Notice & Removal Policy:
If you are a rights holder and you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated on this platform, you may submit a formal notification. Upon valid notice, we will:

  • Review the complaint within 48 hours
  • Remove or restrict access to the reported content
  • Notify the user who submitted the content
