Compliance with the IT Act, 2000 & Intermediary Guidelines:
Under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, cgpeers.in functions as an intermediary service. As an intermediary, cgpeers.in is eligible for safe-harbour protection provided that:

  • The platform does not initiate or control the transmission of user communication;
  • The platform does not select or influence the recipient of any information;
  • The platform does not alter or modify user-submitted content;
  • The platform follows due diligence and acts promptly to restrict access to content upon receiving valid legal notice or an order from a competent authority.

Notice & Takedown Procedure:
If a user submission appears to violate applicable laws, a written notice may be submitted by the concerned party. Once a valid notification or legal directive is received, cgpeers.in will:

  • Review the notice within a reasonable timeframe;
  • Restrict or disable access to the identified content, if required;
  • Follow applicable record-keeping obligations as outlined by Indian regulations;
  • Inform the submitting user when appropriate.

Intermediary Liability & Legal Protection:
In accordance with Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000, cgpeers.in, its administrators, and hosting providers are not liable for third-party information posted by users, provided due-diligence obligations are fulfilled. The platform supports lawful content moderation upon receiving appropriate instructions from rights-holders or authorities.
