VEP files are Video Editor Project files, usually from Wondershare Filmora. They’re not actual videos, just project files that tell the software how to put everything together (like edit cuts, effects, etc.). Because they aren’t real video files like MP4s, they can only be opened and exported from Filmora. That means you can’t convert them directly unless you (or someone else) has Filmora installed with access to all the original source files (videos, music, etc.) used in that project.
Option 1: Do it yourself (if you can)
- Download & install Filmora: https://filmora.wondershare.com
- Open the .vep file in Filmora.
- If it loads correctly and all media is found, go to Export > MP4 format.
- If the original media (videos/audio/images used in the project) are missing, Filmora will throw errors or show missing files.
